Texas Tech University Center at Junction, located in Junction, TX, is engaged in a variety of research projects. Current research focuses on global seismic monitoring, stream fish functional groups, blotched watersnake phylogeography, and prey-consumer interactions. Past research includes studies on prescribed burning's impact on reptiles, South Llano River macrophytes, yucca seed germination, copepod distribution, shoreline spider habitat partitioning, crayfish distribution, and striped skunk movements. In addition to research, community projects such as compiling a bird checklist for Kimble County are also conducted. This center is actively involved in diverse scientific investigations.
