Respite Care is one of Alta Mira’s Family Support Services (FSS). Respite is a flexible family support service that provides short-term, temporary care to individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDD), allowing families and the primary caregiver time to take a break from daily caregiving. Respite, a period of rest, is designed to give the primary unpaid caregiver time away from the daily responsibility of caring for their loved one by supporting the person with IDD. This service is available to children and adults.
