Veteran Housing Initiative

Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter is incredibly grateful for the sacrifices that our servicemen and women make, and to put the works behind our words we are dedicated to growing our Veterans Initiative. This program seeks to help veterans and their families find the housing assistance they need, whether that means a chance at home ownership or help with home repairs and accessibility modifications. Through the Veterans Initiative, we want to ensure that those who served are not forgotten, and give them the same opportunities that their sacrifices allowed us to have.Throughout the year, the Veterans Initiative will have several Preservation & Repair projects and at least one new home construction site specifically for it. We’re always looking for project sponsors and volunteers, so if you’re interested in filling one of those roles, let us know!
