What is Geocaching?

It is a real-world, high tech scavenger hunt using GPS-enabled devices.
Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find a geocache (container) hidden at that location

  • A GPS device or smartphone.
  • A Treasure Hunting Spirit.

If using a smartphone, participants may use any app which will locate GPS coordinates, but it is recommended to use a geocaching app. A great free option is an Opencaching app for iPhone and Android.
