At St. Gerald Catholic Church in Ralston, Nebraska, we recognize Holy Orders as the sacred Sacrament through which men are called by God to serve His Church as deacons, priests, and bishops. This vocation grants them the grace to carry out the sacred responsibilities first entrusted to the Twelve Apostles, who were the Church’s original priests and bishops. Through the laying on of hands, this mission continues today, forming new leaders who dedicate their lives to proclaiming the Gospel and administering the sacraments.
